District’s Finance Reporting Award Streak Reaches 26 Years

Thorn Creek Basin for the 26th straight year has been honored for its outstanding performance in reporting on the Sanitary District’s financial state. The Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) recently presented its Excellence in Financial Reporting Award to the Sanitary District. Thorn Creek Basin has earned this prestigious award every year since 1997.

The GFOA award recognizes the District for its exemplary preparation of its annual financial report. Norma Cash, District finance director, is primarily responsible for preparing the annual report. “Members of the Board of Trustees, especially Raymond Robertson, vice president and treasurer, are thanked for their contributions toward earning this award,” said Jennifer Hindel, Sanitary District executive director.
